OK, the bad news first – no new episode this week.
But now the good news:
The reason we’re not releasing an episode is because we’re devoting all of our resources this week to make major changes to the site and RGTV as a whole. When those changes are complete it will include a lot of good stuff you’ve been asking for. But that’s all we’re saying… So hang in there!

Alright folks -
Here’s another tutorial I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I see people struggling with Particular’s emitter position controls, so I figured I’d pass a long a few things that will make your life easier…

WARNING: Objects in tutorial image are a lot more interesting than they appear!
So, in this Episode, we’ll look at some very useful techniques for Trapcode Particular that will give you better control of emitter position in 2D and 3D. You’ll also learn how to capture the motion of your mouse (or stylus) to control emitter position.
You can watch it here.

OK folks – Part 2 is up and running. In this episode of RGTV, we’ll continue with using sound to effect time, but we’ll also focus on sound effecting the look of the footage, as well. Here’s an example:

This uses both Trapcode Soundkeys and Magic Bullet Looks. Hope you enjoy the show!
You can watch the episode here.

New episode of RGTV is up, folks…
RGTV Episode 05: Controlling Time with Audio – Pt. 1
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use audio to control time. You’ll learn how to make your video automatically move forward in time to the music’s beat – a technique used in tons of music videos and commercials.

Click on the image to see the example video.
I’ve noticed that the sound on MP4′s can be a few frames off when uploaded to the web – but rest assured, the motion is to the beat.
If you have never used Trapcode Sound Keys (and maybe even if you have), I’ll bet you’re surprised by what you can do with audio and time. Anyway, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this one so please sound off.
Watch it here.
And don’t forget you can get great deal on Sound Keys through Red Giant TV. Just swing by the Promo page for details.

No. Really. I mean that in a good way.
My good friend and former CreativeCow.net After Effects Podcast host Eran Stern has just posted 3 tutorials (a trilogy!) on Red Giant Software’s Warp. Each tutorial focuses on one of the 3 Major tools: RG Shadow, RG Reflection, and RG Corner Pin.
You can watch the tutorial here.

In the latest episode of RGTV, I mentioned an older tutorial called Super Tight Junk Mattes. It’s a great technique for creating very precise Junk Mattes/Garbage Masks very quickly.
You can find it here.

So, those of you not using After Effects have been wondering when we’ll start doing tutorials for non-AE users (or at least that are usefull outside of AE). Well, our first tutorial of the year will do just that.
Though I’ll be working in After Effects, I’ll be using tools available for After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Vegas and Avid. If you have any interest in compositing, keep your eyes peeled for the next episode of Red Giant TV – coming soon.

Got a new tutorial for you, folks – Creating a Looping Particle System.
OK, some of you have probably been following my work for a while and know that I already did a looping particles tutorial at Creative Cow. But this is much more in depth and covers both creating looping particle systems and creating looping particle shapes using Trapcode Particular’s custom settings. You can find that tutorial here.
We’ll also use some of these techniques in a later tutorial…
