Up-Convert DV Video Into a Variety of HD Video Formats
San Francisco, CA, March 6, 2006: Red Giant Software, publisher of a line of professional desktop tools including Magic Bullet and Knoll Light Factory, today announced a new plug-in for After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere Pro called Instant HD. The new software application allows users to up-convert DV video into a variety of HD video formats.
Instant HD allows users to choose from a list of preset resolutions to make it easy to integrate DV video into a High Definition production. When scaling from standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD), the missing pixels must be generated in an intelligent way. Instant HD provides a high-quality method for converting SD sources to HD within user's preferred video application.
Features
Uses
"I recently up-rezzed a feature length film from SD to HD in a Quantel EQ suite. Because we missed a few clips, I chose to try Instant HD rather than go back into the suite. Amazingly, the shots I up-rezzed myself with Instant HD were indistinguishable from those run through the very high end Quantel," said Joel Rasmussen, Producer of Before the Music Dies.
Pricing and Availability
Instant HD is available now for $99 USD (Download) and $149 (Box). Note: Instant HD is a plug-in and requires a host application (Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or After Effects) to operate.
