Magic Bullet Feature Film Selected for Sarasota Film Festival

San Francisco, CA, January 28, 2004 – Red Giant Software today announced that Shrink Rap, a feature-length film directed by Doug Cox, will be screened at the 2004 Sarasota Film Festival. Shrink Rap premiered at the 2003 Dances With Films Festival where it received an Honorable Mention. Using Magic Bullet Suite, the innovative post-production house, Solventdreams, helped Cox achieve a cinematic look that has been key to his film’s success.

Magic Bullet Suite consists of a set of five Adobe After Effects plug-ins that take original, high-quality digital video and converts it to 24 frames per second. The process reduces many of the artifacts present in digital video footage. The software, which works on both Macintosh and Windows platforms, has been used on numerous productions selected for prestigious US and international film festivals.

Shrink Rap is a comedy about a student therapist who tries to turn around the lives of a very glamorous, but highly conflicted, Malibu couple. Of course, the student is not stopped by his limited knowledge of psychiatry. The film was written, directed, and co-produced by Doug Cox. Magic Bullet Suite comes in two versions: Magic Bullet Suite Standard Definition (SD) for $995 USD, supporting NTSC and PAL video solutions and Magic Bullet Suite High Definition (HD) for $1,995 USD which has no resolution limit.
