About Vista 64-bit (x64) edition
The 64-bit OS topic can be a little confusing. With the growing popularity of 64-bit chipsets/processors, you now have the ability to run either 64-bit versions (x64) or 32-bit versions (x86) of software and operating systems.
Microsoft released a 32-bit and 64-bit version of both Windows XP and Vista. Running 64-bit software on a 64-bit system with a 64-bit OS will give you a great performance boost. However, most software is still playing catch-up with 64-bit compatibility. You can always install the 32-bit version of Vista as an alternative to run non-compatible software.
You may have the 64-bit edition of Vista. This chart tells you which Red Giant products are currently compatible with the Vista 64-bit system, and if so, the host applications that will run correctly. We will provide technical support for the Red Giant products that are listed below.
Note: The 64-bit OS is a Windows/Vista topic. There are no listings for the Mac OS or Mac-only applications. There are no known compatibility issues with Windows XP 64-bit edition.
How to read the table
The table below shows the compatibility for all Red Giant products. A green dot means the current version and installer will work. You can download the current installer from the Updates page. Entries with a version number indicate that a new version will be released to fix a serious issue with the product. For compatible versions of our products please visit: Updates.
