Datamator Discontinued

Why has Datamator Been Discontinued?

Our goal at Red Giant is to always offer unique products that are the best of breed in their respective category and provide real value to our customers. If any of our products do not meet this criteria, we either add new features or consider discontinuing them.

Since we acquired Datamator (formerly Digital Anarchy’s Data Animator) in 2008, we have done extensive research into the chart and graph creation marketplace. Charts and graphs are now more easily created in some host applications, like Adobe Flash, and other online and add-on tools. As Adobe and Apple have moved their host applications forward, the quality of Datamator results does not meet Red Giant standards.

Based on this development, we have decided to discontinue Datamator and remove it from our product catalog. This means that Datamator will NOT be redeveloped for use in Adobe CS5. We do feel the concept of this product has value in the motion graphics community. We plan to go back to the drawing board and will look at developing an improved version in the future.
