The following instructions are for installing Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 for Final Cut Pro 5.1.4-6.0. This is especially important if you have recently upgraded to Final Cut Pro 5.1.4-6.0 or if you are seeing the error messages pictured below.
Magic Bullet Editors v1.0, v2.0, or v2.1 are not compatible with Final Cut Pro 5.1.4-6.0 on Intel-based Macs. The cause of these error messages is typical of either having an incompatible version installed or opening a project that references these versions of Magic Bullet Editors. All of these versions must be removed before using Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1.



- Close all programs and be logged in as the Administrator.
- Uninstall all Magic Bullet Editors files.
- MacHD\Library\Application Support\Final Cut Pro System Support\Plugins

- If you are installing Magic Bullet Editors v2 Upgrade, you must first install Magic Bullet Editors v1. If you are installing Magic Bullet Editors v2 Full (non-upgrade), then you may skip to step # 5.
- Install and serialize Magic Bullet Editors v1.1.
- Do not install the demo/trial version.
- Download Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 from our Dowloads Archive page.
- Install Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 (use Universal installer for FCP 5.1).
- Do not install using a disc (installer may be out of date).
- Do not install v2.0 or v2.1 (for FCP 4.5- 5.0).

- Next, go to the following location on your Mac hard drive and delete the “Misfire” and "Magic Bullet Editors" folders (if present).
- MacHD\Library\Application Support\Final Cut Pro System Support\Plugins\
