Knoll Light Factory Pro: [PS-8] Installing Knoll Light Factory 2.5 for After Effects CS3 (8.0)? [Mac OS X only]

The following instruction show how to install Knoll Light Factory Pro for After Effects CS3 (8.0). This is especially important if you have recently upgraded to After Effects CS3 or if Knoll Light Factory Pro did not appear in your After Effects CS3 effects list. No update is needed for Windows users.

1. If Knoll Light Factory Pro was installed prior to this update or if you used an incorrect installer (i.e. for After Effects 7) then you must uninstall this version before installing the After Effects CS3 (8.0)-compatible version.
   
   Open the After Effects CS3 (8.0) directory as shown below:
   • MacHD\Adobe After Effects CS3\

2. Ctrl+Click on the After Effects CS3 icon and click Show Package Contents.

3. Delete the Knoll Light Factory 2.5 folder found in the following directory in the package:
   • Contents\Plug-ins\

4. Next, install Knoll Light Factory Pro with the most up to date installer available from our Downloads page.
   • During installation you must select the After Effects 8.0+ option.
