  • Applying white balance by Shift-clicking on the Gain color wheel doesn't work in Final Cut Pro.

(PS-89)

Due to limitations in the way plug-ins can control Final Cut Pro, the white balance is accomplished differently than in other host applications that support Colorista.

  1. Shift+Click on the color swatch in the Gain wheel which is in the upper left area of the wheel, this will open a color picker window.

  1. In the color picker, choose the magnifying glass and select a color that you wish to define as white in the Canvas window and then click OK. Colorista will select a complementary Gain color to balance your image and make the whites look more neutral.
