(PS-15)
The following is a workflow used by one of Instant HD's customers, John Wu @ Media Design Imaging (www.rapturethemovie.com).
When showing the final results to the investors we played it directly via computer hooked to a TV, we use the Instant HD also to upres the footage then downsized it to the DVCPRO50 Codec and then to DVD. In our comparisons we noticed, it played better on SD DVD using the DVCPRO50 Codec than a DV Codec.
We decided to downsize the quality from HD to DVCPRO50, which is still better than DV, then edit everything with DVCPRO50. Then upsize the DV DV footage to HD with Instant HD and then down back to DVCPRO50. The quality DOES look better than using DV and directly out to DVCPRO50 (especially when it is blown up to bigger screen played back with dvd players projected).
