If you are on Windows and have Red Giant Link 1.0.0 (updater app) installed, then you may receive a message like the one pictured below when updating to Red Giant Link 1.0.1.
The good news is that Red Giant Link did successfully update to v1.0.1 and the next time the app launches, you should not experience any errors like this with Red Giant Link v1.0.1 (or later).
