ToonIt: [PS-170] My Animation Presets in After Effects disappeared.
If your Knoll Light Factory, Magic Bullet Mojo, ToonIt, Trapcode Form or Particular presets are missing in After Effects as pictured below, please follow these steps to have them appear in your Animation Presets menu.
This example is shown with Trapcode Particular, however, the process is the same for our other products that use Animation Presets.

- Confirm that your presets are installed to the proper location.
- Mac location: MacHD\Applications\Adobe After Effects\Presets\

- Windows location: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects\Support Files\Presets\

- If your product's presets are not already installed to the location pictured above, please download the appropriate preset files listed below. Place them in the Presets folder that is shown above.
- Mac OSX Only: Please make sure that all Sharing & Permission privileges for the plug-in's Preset folder and all .ffx files are changed to "Read & Write" for all Administrators and Users on the system. The permissions should not be set to “Read Only.”
- Enable Animation Presets.
If you do not have an Animation Presets menu as picture below, enable this menu by clicking the Effects Controls panel menu.

- Initialize your Animation Presets.
The next steps will give you a few methods for initializing your Animation Presets. First, we will try to make them appear by reloading the Effects & Presets panel. If this doesn't work, Step 4 describes an alternative method.

- If Effects & Presets is not enabled, go to the Window menu, and choose Effects & Presets. This will open the Effects & Presets panel.

- Click on the Effects & Presets panel menu in the upper right corner of the panel, then choose the Refresh List option at the bottom. This will force After Effects to reload the .ffx in all locations and should make the Animation Presets appear in their pop-up menu.

- Save a Custom Animation Preset.
If your Animations Presets did not appear by performing the steps outlined above, try saving a custom preset. Doing so will force After Effects to reload all the .ffx files.
- In the plug-in’s Effects Controls panel, click the Animation Presets menu, and then choose Save Selection as Animation Preset…

- Give this preset a name and click Save.
Mac path: (Save preset to User Presets folder)
MacHD\Users\Documents\Adobe\After Effects CS4\User Presets\

- Windows path: (Save preset to User Presets folder)
C:\Users\Documents\Adobe\After Effects CS4\User Presets\

- Next, in the plug-in’s Effects Controls, click the Animation Presets menu. All of the presets should appear.
