Trapcode 3D Stroke: [PS-178] Product does not appear after installation and/or does not function correctly (Mac OSX).
If Trapcode does not appear in your host application or does not function correctly, this may be related to a Sharing & Permission privilege level on your system. Please use the instructions included below to repair these privileges.
- Please open your System Preferences and select Accounts. Then make sure the account in which you are logged in has administrator access.

- Please ensure that you are running the latest updates available for your host application.
- Please uninstall all affected Trapcode files. Possible locations of these files are indicated below.
Final Cut Pro & Motion
a) MacHD\Library\Plug-ins\FxPlug\

After Effects & Premiere Pro
a) MacHD\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\[CS3 or CS4]\MediaCore\Trapcode\

To change Sharing & Permissions privileges, find the proper folder and click Cmd+I or Right+click and select "Get Info".

Then locate the Sharing & Permissions menu.

Please make sure that all privileges are changed to "Read & Write" for all Adminstrators and Users on the system.

- Please re-install the plug-in with an Administrator account. You also must re-install as each User account on system.
Latest Installers may be downloaded from our Product Downloads page. Please do not use an old downloaded installer or an installer that is located on a disc, as these may be out of date.
- Next, please fix Sharing & Permissions privileges for each of our plug-in's installed folders and files. See step #3 for locations and screen shots.
**IMPORTANT: Please individually check ALL folders and files, as every Name's Privilege must be set to “Read & Write”. They should not be set to "Read Only".**
- Trapcode should now appear and fully function in your host appliction's effects list.

- If the plug-in still does not show up in the effects list or function correctly, please try these additional troubleshooting tips.
- Reboot system and then re-open your host application.
- Double check that all of our plug-in's folders and files Sharing & Permissions privileges were set to "Read & Write."
- Be sure that your host application and our plug-ins are both installed on the main hard drive.
- Be sure that the correct destination directories exist on your hard drive.
- If you have recently re-installed your host application or OS, there may be a corrupt installation of one or both of these.
- If you have performed a system migration or Time Machine backup, it is very common that not all the required files and folders were backed up or transferred. To correct this, a re-installation of your host application might be necessary, for example.
