We have found that this error message is related to an Adobe CS3 issue of not having the proper folder string installed (...\Common\...). These folders are required for our plug-ins to install correctly. If these folders are not present, this error message is returned.

 

• Our plug-ins for After Effects CS3 no longer install here:
  MacHD\Applications\After Effects CS3\Plug-ins\
• Our plug-ins for After Effects CS3 now install here:
  MacHD\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CS3\MediaCore\

The majority of users that receive this error message were able to resolve it in one of the following two ways:

1. Updating CS3 should fix this issue by adding the "Common" folder. This folder is not found on beta or outdated versions of CS3. This may also be the case if you are using a trial version of Adobe CS3.
    
2. If updating does not fix this, then you may have to completely uninstall your Adobe CS3 and then re-install with an updated installer/version. This is usually only the case for beta users.

If the above two solutions do not fix this issue, check Adobe's support section to see if they have a resolution.
