Nice tutorial. I was wondering what a quick way would be to alter the code to make a countdown timer, resulting in a format like "0:02" without making multiple text layers...

Thank you very much Aharon! I think it is a great idea to have some tutorials in the list that do not require 3rd party plugins. In my case, I regularly visit RG TV. But I do not (yet) have every plugin. So, less dissappointment ("oh, this time it's not for me...") but more satisfaction ("... hey, there is still something to learn!"). Keep on the excellent work! I am looking forward to your projects with Dan.

Great tutorial Aharon! And "independent" as in your good old time at the cow. I already feared you sold your soul when switching to RG. Which is a great company, but costs more ; )
I think it would be great to have such a mixed assortment of tutorials some with and some without third party plugins. For my part it worked: Every now and then when I can afford it, I purchase a plugin that convinced me in the tutorials. And when I do not have enough money saved yet, I enjoy the free tutorials ; )
I am looking forward to your future projects, especially those with Dan.

hey man nice job really enjoy this, i used to key frame everything when using working with points but this makes it alot easier, also another great way to do this stuff is to use the character offset animator for those of you who might not know about it

I linked back to this tut in my newest post over at blog.videohive.net... AE Quicktips #5 check it out. What are the chances that you post a Source Text based tut the same day as I do? if its not posted it should be up in a couple hours...
